Ticket Information:

Please review this page for answers to frequently asked questions about Ticketing. Beginning at 6PM on Monday, May 19th, the ordering function of the Online Film Guide will be active and available for 2008 NewFest Members to place their orders. At 6PM on May 27th, it will be available for the General Public to use as well. The other ticket purchasing methods are still available on these same dates and times: phone orders and in-person orders at the box office. Please see below for more information.

When the NewFest Box Office has opened, we ask you to please contact them directly for all ticket orders or questions about tickets. Use the phone number that will be listed below beginning May 19, or visit them in-person at the Box Office at AMC Loews 34th St. Do not call the main NewFest office number - this will delay the time it takes to help you.

When ticketing begins, you may reach voicemail when you call the Box Office, due to the high volume of calls we usually receive. Please do leave a message with your name and contact phone number and the Box Office staff will return your call as soon as possible - within 24 hrs and usually within the same evening.

Students and Seniors (age 60+) must present valid ID in person at the box office to claim discount price. No discounts are available for Opening Night, Closing Night, Centerpieces, Forum panels, or Special Events.

Please stop by the GMHC Theater Desk to pick up a voucher or call 212.367.1276 for more information.

SAME-DAY & RUSH TICKETS (DOOR SALES):

Same-Day Tickets:
Tickets for films taking place that same day will be available at NewFest's Same-Day Sales desk located in the lobby of AMC Loews 34th St. Tickets for Forum panels taking place that same day will be available at the Forum venue.

Same-Day Tickets will be available for cash only beginning one hour before the first screening of the day for screenings and panels that are not in RUSH ONLY status. All advance ticket sales (web, phone, and walk-up box office) will be discontinued at 8PM the day before the film or panel.

Rush Tickets:
If a screening is listed as DOOR SALES or RUSH ONLY at the advance box office or online, don’t give up! We may still be able to accommodate last-minute ticket demand the day of the screening if ticket-holders or pass-holders do not arrive 15 minutes prior to the screening time. Rush coupons will be handed out throughout the day of the screening - these will be exchanged for hard tickets after seat availability is assessed approximately 10-15 minutes before the screening time. Rush Tickets are cash only and no discounts will apply. PLEASE NOTE: Though we have usually been able to accommodate most everyone in the past, admission is NOT guaranteed with a Rush coupon – only after you have turned the coupon in and have been sold a Rush Ticket.

ADVANCE/PRE-PAID TICKETS:
To avoid waiting in lines the day of your screening, we strongly encourage you to pick up all pre-paid advance tickets at the box office by 7PM the day before your first screening (please check the Box Office hours above; please allow 48 hours from order placement for processing). Thereafter, advance tickets will be held in NewFest's Pre-Paid Ticket Pick-Up located in the lobby of AMC Loews 34th St. Pre-Paid Ticket Pick-Up begins one hour before the first screening of the day. All advance ticket sales (web, phone, and walk-up box office) will be discontinued at 8PM the day before the film or panel.
