Internships are available throughout the year. Interning with NewFest allows you to experience the ins and outs of a film festival by working with a non-profit media arts organization. NewFest encourages interns to be self-starters who can handle major projects independently. Though internships are unpaid, college credit may be available.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We rely on the help of volunteers to make NewFest: The New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Film Festival a success. Volunteering for NewFest is a great way to be a part of one of New York City's premier LGBT events. As a volunteer, you will receive vouchers for complimentary tickets, meet filmmakers, and may have access to festival events.

Volunteers assist Festival staff at screenings, events, in our box office, and at our office.
